Ostercamp2019

Dr. Neil Ostercamp is a dedicated performer, composer, and educator. He is a founding member of the Missouri Saxophone Quartet, Trio Chymera, Contreras Saxophone Quartet, Free Collective, and Smokey James and the Avalanche. He has performed throughout the country, appearing at New York's Weill Recital Hall, and was a two-time national finalist in the MTNA chamber music competition. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and Master of Music in Saxophone Performance at the University of Missouri and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Saxophone with a cognate in Jazz Studies at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Former saxophone teachers include Kim Klaproth, Leo Saguiguit, Dan Thomas, Steve Stusek, Chad Eby, and Susan Fancher. Ostercamp studied jazz composition and arranging with Doug Leibinger, Steve Haines, and Chad Eby. He lives in Kirkwood, MO and serves as Worship Coordinator at the Clayton site of The Gathering United Methodist Church.
