Billie Derham

Pianist Billie Derham has taught piano in the St. Louis area for over 40 years.   Ms. Derham graduated from Lindenwood College with a B.M. magna cum laude and Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville with high honors where she was a student of acclaimed pianist Ruth Slenczynska. 

Additionally, she did doctoral work at UMKC. Ms. Derham was staff accompanist at the Conservatory of St. Louis (CASA) and has played for the Bach Society, Opera Theatre, St. Louis Symphony Chorus and singers Christine Brewer and Robert McFerrin.  Currently, Ms. Derham is accompanist for Concert Choir of the St. Louis Children’s Choirs and has performed with them at Carnegie Hall, the White House, Powell Hall,  Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles  and on tour to England, Wales, Austria and the Czech Republic. Ms. Derham is on the music faculty at UMSL and is organist/pianist at Our Savior Lutheran Church in St. Charles.
