Kim Cowell

Music Education

Kim has taught elementary general music in the Parkway School District since 1987. In this time she has been recognized as her schools Teacher of the Year, received district and state grants for her classroom and is district chair for the Parkway elementary vocal staff. She received a bachelors in music education from the University of Missouri, St. Louis in 1987 and in 1997 received a masters in music education from the University of Missouri, St. Louis. She holds her level I in Orff-Schulwerk and World Music Drumming and has participated in the national GAMA guitar courses. Kim is a member of Missouri Music Educators, MENC and the American Orff-Schulwerk Association. Kim is married to Rob Cowell and has two children Megan, Michael and a grandson Jayden.
